Appointments

To make an appointment, please telephone the surgery on 020 8643 3030 and speak to our receptionist. You can book an appointment in person or by telephoning the surgery during opening hours.

Each appointment is for One Person Only. Please help us to help you by arranging routine appointments in advance if possible.

20% of all appointments are held back and released on the day. These are kept for Non-Routine appointments and are for patients who need to see the Doctor for urgent medical reasons only.

To assist the smooth running of our surgery, the patient’s co-operation and flexibility is greatly appreciated when arranging to see the doctor.

Emergencies

Medical emergencies will be seen on the same day. If you Suddenly become unwell and you think you have a problem that genuinely cannot wait, please make this clear to the receptionist. The doctor may wish to speak to you on the telephone to assess your situation. If the doctor feels that you should be seen the same day, an emergency slot will be allocated to you if all appointments are taken. Please call the surgery before 10.00 AM, to request a same day emergency appointment  

Cancelling an Appointment

If you are unable to keep your appointment or no longer consider it necessary, please contact the receptionist ASAP so it can be reallocated to another patient. Please do not leave it till the last minute.  

Consulting Times

Open surgery is an opportunity for consultation without an appointment. Patients must arrive at the surgery by 10am on Open Surgery morning. In the event of a real emergency, the staff will make every effort to accommodate patients beyond the system, where possible 

Late Night Surgery

You can book an appouintment with the General Practitioner until 8 PM

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

Speaking to the Doctor

Our reception staff endeavour, to help on most matters concerning our patients. However, if you need to speak to the doctor/Practice Nurse, you will be able to speak to the doctor only at the end of a consultation. 

As the surgery is unique in having two days of open surgery, it is difficult to predict when this might be, however, we would normally suggest calling the receptionist between 12 -1PM, which is when the GP would normally, accept calls from the patients, providing that consultations have ended.

We expect all our patients to co-operate, and respect the surgery rules.
