Repeat Prescriptions

Click here to request repeat prescriptions.

If you have difficulty in using a computer or smartphone you can ask your pharmacy to order your medication for you.

Patients should be aware that the practice follows the prescribing rules set by the Sutton CCG senior pharmacist team. These rules mean that the practice will usually not be able to give you a branded medication, if a generic version is available. Even if that medication has been prescribed by a hospital. We are also not able to prescribe many common items that are available to buy without a prescription, such as paracetamol and vitamin supplements.

The GP CPCS (GP Community Pharmacy Consultation Service)

The GP CPCS (GP Community Pharmacy Consultation Service) is also now up and running. So you can call and for some ailments you can get an appointment with a pharmacist at a local chemist. This referral service is only available up to 12pm

Many patients require a repeat of their prescription.  We accept such requests by using the link above or through your local pharmacy.  Requests by telephone will NOT be accepted, with exceptions for medical emergencies.

Our surgery is fully computerised, as is the prescription system.  With each prescription slip will be a counterfoil.  On this counterfoil, tick the medicines required, as appropriate and post or deliver by hand, as required.  Once we receive a request, please allow at least 48 hours for this to be processed, before the prescription can be mailed out or collected.

Have you signed up to our Electronic Prescription Services (EPS)?

The benefits of EPS are that:

  • prescribers can process prescriptions more efficiently and spend less time dealing with prescription queries
  • dispensers can reduce use of paper, have improved stock control, and provide a more efficient service to patients
  • patients can collect repeat prescriptions from a pharmacy without visiting their GP, and won't have a paper prescription to lose

Please speak to one of our reception team for further information.

Alternatively, if you are unable to collect your prescription personally, send a stamped addressed envelope with your request and it can be mailed to you.  You prescription can also be delivered to a local pharmacist of your choice. Please ask the receptionist for details of this service.

Please note that we are responsibe for your prescriptions and have the right to question any request, even if it has been prescribed by the hospital.
